Citizens Police Academy

The Campbell County Police Chief's Association has combined efforts in conducting their Consolidated Citizens Police Academy in Northern Kentucky.  Highland Heights Police will be participating along with several agencies throughout Campbell County.

Classes will be held one evening a week for approximately two hours.  We are hoping to start on either March 1st or 2nd.  Applications may be obtained and submitted to any participating police department.

The Citizens Police Academy will be a twelve week course that citizens can attend for learning about their local police departments and the criminal justice system.  The meetings will be held at various participating police departments and will cover topics in areas of patrol functions, S.W.A.T., firearms, Crime Scene Investigations, K-9 patrol, accident reconstruction and Criminal Investigations.

There will be guest speakers from the Campbell County Attorney's Office, Commonwealth Attorney's Office, Campbell County Coroner's Office, Campbell County Detention Center and the Campbell County Consolidated Dispatch Center.  Campbell County residents are invited to submit an application to be considered for the Citizens Academy.

Applications are available via e-mail or fax by contacting the clerk Monday thru Friday at 859-441-8956 or they can be picked up at the City Building (9-5) or Police Department (8-4) during regular business hours.
