Parks & Recreation

Our Mission:  The Highland Heights Recreation Committee strives to offer a wide range of quality programs, parks, and facilities that encourage all community members to participate in healthy, fun, and enriching activities. Together, we celebrate the essential role public recreation plays in fostering a cohesive and vibrant community.

The Recreation Committee is an advisory board relating to recreation events in the city. Join us at one of our meetings, held the 2nd Wednesday of the month in the Community Room at the Highland Heights City Building, 176 Johns Hill Road. The meetings begin at 7:00 pm.

We extend an open invitation to all Highland Heights residents — bring your ideas, come to our meetings, and check out our events. We’d love for you to join us in making Highland Heights Recreation the best it can be.

The purpose of the Recreation Committee is to set dates for events; advise on recreation programs and plan the events. We strive to strengthen the community through an array of recreational opportunities for all age groups.

A list of the annual events we plan are:

Children’s Easter Egg Hunt, a Memorial Day Ceremony, Cruise in/Concert, Children’s Halloween Party, Veterans Day Ceremony and Senior Breakfast, Christmas Outdoor Lighting Contest, Lunch with Santa and a City Volleyball League.
