Planning & Zoning

The Planning & Zoning Commission is responsible for reviewing land development within the City and ensuring all development is consistent with the Highland Heights Comprehensive Plan. The Commission also is responsible for reviewing and updating the City’s sub-division regulations and zoning ordinances. Additionally, the Planning & Zoning Commission is responsible for making zone change recommendations to the City Council.

The Planning & Zoning Commission meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Highland Heights City Building, 176 Johns Hill Road. Comprehensive Plan

Land development in the Highland Heights must be consistent with the Comprehensive Plan.

Sub-Division Regulations

Used with the comprehensive plan to promote the health, safety and general welfare of citizens and facilitate the orderly and efficient layout and appropriate use of land.

Zoning Ordinances

Used with the Comprehensive to define and establish the various zones within Highland Heights and the permitted uses, requirements, regulations, etc. for each zone.
