Campbell County Snow Emergency

Campbell County, KY (January 23, 2026) – Campbell County has declared a Level 1 Snow Emergency, effective Saturday, January 24, at 12:00 PM. This declaration is in response to a Winter Storm Warning forecasting heavy winter weather, including 8 to 12 inches of snow with ice. As hazardous conditions are expected to impact the region through Monday, drivers are urged to slow down and use extra caution. During a snow emergency, special parking rules apply on county-maintained roads in areas outside city limits. These rules do not apply on city streets. If you live in a city, please check your city’s snow rules to see if any parking restrictions apply on your street.

Highland Heights Safety Notice

❄️ Upcoming Snowfall – Safety Notice ❄️A significant amount of snow is expected in our area. For the safety of our Public Works crew and the traveling public, we kindly ask residents to remove vehicles from public streets and park them in driveways or yards no later than Friday night, if possible.Vehicles left on the street create visibility hazards and make it more difficult for our plow operators to maneuver safely and effectively. Clearing streets without obstructions helps reduce the risk of accidents, protects parked vehicles from damage, and allows emergency and service vehicles to travel more safely. Please be patient as our Public Works crew works long hours in challenging conditions to keep roads passable. Your cooperation and understanding play an important role in keeping everyone safe. Thank you for your continued support. Stay warm and stay safe!
