Tree Tips 4 H

Highland Height’s 2021 Arbor Day was a Success!

The Highland Heights Tree Commission would like to thank everyone who came out on April 24th to take part in our annual tree, shrub, and seed giveaway. We had early participants and were out of our giveaway items in 45 minutes!

In addition, the Tree Commission was awarded a grant to purchase flower seeds, pots and decorating tools to give out to the kids of Highland Heights during this event as well. Thank you to the Campbell County Extension Office for assistance with this grant.

Mayor Greg Meyers was on hand to present the Arbor Day Proclamation. During this event, an honor tree was planted in honor of Goldman Hill. Mr. Hill was WWII Army Veteran, who passed away on October 4, 2020. You can visit Mr. Hill’s Honor Tree at the City of Highland Heights Park, located at 176 Johns Hill Road.

If any of our Highland Heights neighbors would like to join the Highland Heights Tree Commission, please contact the city building 859-441-8575.
