According to the terms of the City’s contract with Rumpke, all collections shall occur on each Tuesday of the month. The time of collections shall be made between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. unless the contractor has been given permission in advance and in writing by the Mayor. Permission is generally given in the heat of the summer, when collection may begin before 7:00 a.m. and during inclement weather, such as icy roads or dangerous conditions.
Collections do not occur on Christmas Day and New Years Day. If these holidays occur on a Tuesday, collections will be Wednesday.
