Tree Tips 4 H

Highland Height’s 2024 Arbor Day was a Success!

The Highland Heights Tree Commission would like to thank everyone who came out on April 27th to participate in Arbor Day. This year's event was very family friendly. As in every year, the Tree Commission purchased a variety of trees to give out to Highland Heights residents. New this year was a tree planting demonstration, rain barrel give away, seed packet giveaway, martial arts demonstration, face painting, and a bouncy house.

Mayor Greg Meyers was on hand to present the Arbor Day Proclamation. During this event, a tree was dedicated to Dave Whitacre who served the city for over 23 years as city engineer years and later as code enforcement officer. Steve Franzen served as the city attorney for 27 years also received an honor tree. Additionally, the Inaugural Tree Commission and current Tree Commission were each recognized with a tree.

One of Americas safest Cities.
